About Us

The idea for Alegra Treat Boxes began to take shape shortly after the birth of my second baby. Just as I was ready to get back work after maternity leave, I was told that I had lost my job. After a period filled with uncertainty and stress, I decided to see the whole thing as an opportunity to reinvent myself and start a new adventure.

I’m originally from Málaga (Spain), although I lived in London (UK) for ten years. It was an incredible experience that allowed me to grow professionally in the field of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, where I learned the value of building and nurturing human connections. It also gave me the chance to meet wonderful people who shortly became lifelong friends.

Once I returned to Málaga, I experienced something similar to when I left: the difficulty of maintaining close and meaningful contact with my friends and loved ones from afar. Technology and messaging tools help a lot, but they also foster a certain coldness. I wanted to find a way to let them know how much I cared about them in a more personal way and for them to feel I was there, especially during important moments.

It was while looking for a gift to cheer up a dear friend, who was going through a rough patch, that I discovered the concept of "treat box," which immediately captivated me. A treat box is a gift box containing a variety of items designed to pamper and delight the recipient. They are an ideal gift for special occasions, celebrations, or simply to show affection and appreciation. My friend was so thrilled that she couldn't wait a minute to pick up the phone and tell me how much my gift had brightened her day. It was a truly beautiful moment.

I started sending treat boxes to my important people on special occasions, and the result was incredible. The responses radiated joy and enthusiasm, which, in turn, filled me with joy as well. At that moment, I realised it was worth trying to create my own version and offer others the opportunity to strengthen their bonds and share joy, regardless of the reason or the distance. That's how Alegra Treat Boxes was born.

Each gift box we offer is designed to convey a message of affection, gratitude, and connection. We want you to be able to surprise that special person who is always there for you, your confidant, or who supports you day after day, with a gift that makes them feel special and loved.

We are still a very small endeavour, but I am very proud of what we are building in Alegra and I hope that we can share many joys together.
